Many readers are probably going to be a little ticked at me for the end of this story arc, but it’s a direction that I’ve wanted to go for a while now.
I’ve been teasing about things in the works for a long time now, and answers are coming. Fun stuff in the works. I can say that I just bought my first “professional” camera.
Of course, the thing cost more than my new laptop, but that’s besides the point. I’ve needed a new camera for over a year, ever since my old one stopped working after NYCC last year. Something at security caused the yellow circuit to stop working, so the pictures all look purple. I’ve been dependent on other people’s pictures for the photo comics – which is never a fun time.
Now I can go after some other photo projects that I’ve wanted to work on for a while now. Step 1 is getting the camera, step 2 is getting the story together.
This is going to be the year of comics for me. More news to come, so keep coming back for more!
Susie and Anthony, two people who absolutely hate each other but are forced to work together – and now close together. Anthony has a party after they finish closing, so you’d think that he’d have an incentive to get out of there early. But something keeps him there. Perhaps a false sense of obligation, perhaps a false sense of authority. Who can say what goes through that guy’s head.
Right now, it’s clearly the sauce. And I don’t blame him. I also enjoy a good stiff drink.
This weekend I’m attending a post-ACEN party out by O’Hare at a forest preserve. The show was fantastic, and part of that was the people who put it on – so I’m going to hang out with them again! It’s going to be awesome! Assuming, of course, that the weather stays nice. Pictures will hopefully follow, and maybe even a comic from it.
The closing time mini story arc starring Susie and Anthony. I’ve had a plan for Susie’s adventures as a barista, and this story arc is only the beginning.
I’m attending a lot of conventions this year, getting the word out about @$$hole! and my other projects in the pipeline. It’s an incredibly exciting time for me. It also makes getting the blogs out a little tricky, and there will be some changes for this site in the coming months. Good changes, I think.
