It’s true that I do watch Grey’s Anatomy. It’s a guilty pleasure left over from my lady friends back in Ann Arbor who got me hooked. And yes, the show has become next to absolute crap ever since Season 3. There is the occasional episode worth watching, but mostly it’s the typical prime-time dribble where the cast all sleep with each other, then get angry when they sleep with another cast member.
I don’t know about you, but in real life chances are you’re going to cheat with a complete stranger more so than with a co-worker. Just saying.
Anyway, I also enjoy Castle. Nathan Fillian has been a great influence on my writing because of his superb choices in TV shows ever since Firefly. The show is wickedly entertaining, so if you’re not watching it already then you should be.
I do not watch Desperate Housewives or football (or follow any sports, for that matter. But if you invite me to see a game, I’ll probably show).
Other shows I enjoy are mostly off the air. I was a big fan of Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, 24, LOST (when it was good), Alias (again, when it was good), and many others. These days I’m mostly watching TV shows from Netflix, like That 70s Show and Futurama, but also enjoy the occasional episode of Family Guy.
So what TV shows do you enjoy?

Saturday is Free Comic Book Day – a great ffamily-friendly day to go to your local comic book shop, grab some free books, and maybe find a new series to enjoy. It’s also a great opportunity to meet some of your favorite creators.
Want to know who will be in a store near you? Check out this website for all the latest FCBD appearances.
I’ll be signing at the Comix Revolution in Mt Prospect, Il from 10am-2pm (or later, if the crowds are good). I’ll be signing copies of my books (Reading with Pictures, Hope: The Hero Initiative, and Junkyard Chase), selling sketch cards, and doing some free sketches for the kids.
Be sure to make it out to your local comic book store on Saturday for Free Comic Book Day, and get some free books and say hi to some local creators. Great for the whole family!
Hope to see you there!

Russell and I have been friends for a number of years, and have been attending most of the same conventions for the past few years. We have a running gag from a sci-fi conventions we went to where two women cosplayed as Viper Pilots from the original 1970s Battelstar Galatica (not the remake series). We thought this was pretty awesome. At the costume contest at the end of the first night, being the single guy I am, I went up and spoke with the girls – who were really quite cool. They were the highlight of the show, and Russell and I have made a running joke. Whenever a show’s not going our way, we always say, “This show would be better with Viper Pilots.”
And of course, it’s true.
I have a lot of running gags with my convention friends, and sometimes when I’m speaking on panels I’ll reveal a few of them. If you ever get to attend an “Evening with Trevor Mueller” or a similar titled panel at a show, I’ll usually tell some of the more hilarious ones. Like a run in with Mark Silvestri or some hilarious Christopher Walken jokes.
I’m putting my convention schedule together for 2011, but if you’d like me to attend a show near you be sure to reach out to the convention and have them invite me as a guest. I love to travel, and love to meet fans the world over. Doesn’t even matter if you’re a fan of my own work – if you’re a fan of something, I think I’d enjoy meeting you.
I’ll be attending Chicago Comic Con 2010 this weekend (formerly Wizard World Chicago) in Rosemont, Il. I’ll be in Artist Alley at booth #3116 selling copies of @$$hole!, Reading with Pictures (featuring an 8-page story from me. And the book is appropriate for all ages!), sketch cards, prints, and commissions.
Don’t believe me? Here’s a link to my Wizard World Profile!
There will be a bunch of celebrity guests in attendance, as well as some cool comic artists. I’ll be sharing booth space with Rival Angels creator Alan Evans, as well as several great comic creators / Reading with Pictures contributors including Russell Lissau, John Bivens, and Steve Wallace.
Will there be a comic made out of this weekend? Most likely!
Scott (the man who made this very fine website that you’re on right now) will be on hand as well, and probably taking some pictures. I’m coming up with a story already for the show, so @$$hole! can get back on schedule.
As much as people tend to rip on Wizard, I always have fun at their shows – and you should stop by and have fun with us! Hope to see you there!
The Carl’s Birthday storyline wraps up today, and so I’ll have to go back to creating brand new content starting next week. I was able to get a few pages done, so hopefully it’s enough of a buffer to last me for a while before the next convention.
Speaking of my next convention, I’ll be a guest of honor at Cyphan out in Wheeling, Il (where my book was printed)! Cyphan is a brand new sci-fi show, and it’s going to have some special guests from some semi-popular sci-fi shows (cough cough Firefly cough cough Battlestar Galactica cough cough).
The guy who’s running the show just linked me to the TV spot that he produced, which will run in Chicago promoting the show during StarGate episodes on SyFy.
Cyphan takes place June 25-27 at the Westin Chicago North Shore Wheeling, IL. Be sure to check out the website and order tickets. I’ll be hosting a panel about making webcomics Friday, and possibly again Sunday.
Hope to see you there.
