Seymour carries Marielle out of the market after her brutal battle against the Bishops.
Their prequel story is almost finished. Hope you all had a great memorial Day weekend.
Marielle continues to fight off the Bishops in the marketplace, trying to rescue Seymour.
Sorry for not updating the page last week, but I’ve been slowly trying to recover from ACEN (such a great weekend, but lots to do around the apartment). But there should be more reviews and blogs coming soon, as well as a bunch more pages!
Marielle starts kicking the crap out of some Bishops, showing off some of her bad ass assassin skills.

I’m a guest of honor at ACEN this weekend (in Rosemont, Il), and I’ll be sharing that status with comic greats such as Russell Lissau, Josh Elder, The Brothers Moy, Paul Sizer, and Misako Rocks!.
It’s a great honor, and I’ll be on several panels all weekend, plus attending various events – and will also have a table somewhere on the floor. Be sure to look for me at the show!
As Marielle and Seymour try to make it out of the market, Marielle tries to put the pieces together. However, she may not have enough pieces to figure out the conspiracy herself (but by this point, you all should). What we don’t know is how Seymour fits into the mix.
But we will.
Check out the latest page here.

The blogs are continuing to update with review for comics, movies, and games. I have some big projects looming overhead (not to mention the ambitious convention schedule I have for myself this year), which I can’t exactly talk about yet (but you know me – I always love to tease). My next show will be ACEN the weekend of May 14-16, and I’ll be a guest of honor this year. I have some fun panels lined up, plus I’ll be selling books, prints, and sketch cards. I’ll also have free bookmarks to give out to everyone who likes to read. For those of your who don’t like to read, the bookmarks are a dollar.
(Just kidding)
A narrow escape from a beating right there, but Seymour and Marielle are not out of the woods yet. This is where the action begins, folks. Time for some ass-kicking!

Meanwhile, back in the real world, I’ve been a busy guy. I just started a new job today at another agency, and I’m super stoked for it. I can’t really go into details, but I’m essentially doing the same thing I have been (media planning), but now on a brand new client that really excites me. Opportunity abounds!
Reviews are coming back again. I have a back-log of titles I’ve been meaning to review for a while now, and they should be coming out on a semi-regular basis again. Sorry for the delays, folks. Life took priority.
Also, I’ve just joined a paid online dating website. Fingers crossed that the experience is more positive than the free sites have been. Otherwise, I have new content for @$$hole!
Be sure to stop back (or subscribe to the RSS) tomorrow and Thursday for more reviews, and Wednesday and Friday for more comics!
@$$hole! and Temple and laptops, oh my!
April 12th, 2010 | by TrevorSo a lot’s been going on in my world lately, and sadly I’m not able to get into details on many of the items, but there’s good news and bad news.
The bad news is that I find myself back in the job pool, hunting for work and finding an agency where my skills and experience can be utilized to their fullest. Unfortunately I can’t get into further details on this (and those who know me know that I love to rant), but for now I try to see this as a blessing in disguise. Namely, because I may have time to start reviewing movies and games again.
The good news is that I went out and bought a new laptop. Since the computer that I had been using was a work laptop (and a Mac at that, which kept crashing any Microsoft programs that I had to run every day), upon trying to turn on my old personal laptop I came to the conclusion that it was just too old and too slow for the purposes that I needed it.
The new device is father sleek, fast, and efficient. In fact, it’s technically better than my desktop computer – which is 7+ years old and I never sign it on the internet anymore. Mostly because if I ever did, it would shut down and never work again. There’s just not enough space on it for any more Windows updates, and since it’s not going online it doesn’t really need any updates.
So last week Friday another @$$hole! uploaded, continuing the adventure of Carl trying to stop the evil Michael Eisner. And today a new Temple story went live, where we see Seymour (who we know is not a fighter) getting into a scrape with some Bishops in the Capital City market streets.
This week I’m prepping for C2E2, and I’ll talk a bit more later this week about my convention exclusive print (to promote my story in the upcoming Reading with Pictures anthology), as well as my signings and panel schedule. Then next month I’ll be a guest of honor at ACEN, which is one of the most fun shows that I go to every year! Gonna be a blast!
Seymour shopping in the market, unknowingly being watched by Marielle on the rooftops with a sniper rifle. It looks like we’re about to find out how strict the Bishops are when they find people armed. Unlike the USA, this world does not have a right to bare arms – unless you join the Bishops.
I hope you had a great weekend (Happy Easter for those of you who practice the Christian faith), and that your week is sunny and awesome!
Marielle has some questions about her next assignment. Something doesn’t quite add up here….
So it looks like Kidjo was delayed on his way to take out Portis, which is why Sophia and Selphi got there first (see Hikari). And since Marielle and Kidjo have met in person, this explains why she was able to recognize him in the original story.
See, no plot holes here.
