So I wanted to somehow make a comic about the new camera that I got. But I didn’t have a working camera to take pictures of myself…holding my new camera. Possibly making love to it. Possibly the TV gets jealous and ticked off. See, there’s like a story arc here I could make.
Just need another camera, and a person to take the pictures.
I tried to get some pictures taken this weekend, and play with the camera a bit. But Waffles makes for poor subject matter, since she moves all the time. However, I’ll be at Cyphan this weekend out in Wheeling, and the new camera will be with me. If you stop by the show, you may get the chance to appear in the comic, if you’d like.
Many readers are probably going to be a little ticked at me for the end of this story arc, but it’s a direction that I’ve wanted to go for a while now.
I’ve been teasing about things in the works for a long time now, and answers are coming. Fun stuff in the works. I can say that I just bought my first “professional” camera.
Of course, the thing cost more than my new laptop, but that’s besides the point. I’ve needed a new camera for over a year, ever since my old one stopped working after NYCC last year. Something at security caused the yellow circuit to stop working, so the pictures all look purple. I’ve been dependent on other people’s pictures for the photo comics – which is never a fun time.
Now I can go after some other photo projects that I’ve wanted to work on for a while now. Step 1 is getting the camera, step 2 is getting the story together.
This is going to be the year of comics for me. More news to come, so keep coming back for more!
