The Matrix Revolutions Review
Doug went through a review month dedicated to The Matrix movies, which was a favorite series of mine (well, the first movie, anyway), but less so for Doug. None-the-less, always on the lookout for a part of for the bald man (and forgetting my inability to memorize dialogue from the Last Airbender review), Doug invited me to be in another of his reviews. This time with a LOT of dialogue, and finally appearing in a scene with Malcolm and Tamara while we were in the room together.
My appearance starts at 22:09 in the video, and it calls back to another favorite movie of mine. I won’t spoil it for you, but if you haven’t seen the movie I’m the reference for, I would recommend changing that. This video would also lead to me doing more dialogue in my appearances with Doug, which is always a fun time.
Sorry gang, but because of the wedding stuff I’ve used up my buffer and kind of ran out of strips. I’m going to be spending the weekend making new ones, and then updating 3x for the next two weeks to make up for the loss.
In the meantime, however, I do have a video of my cat Waffles “playing” with her new toy.
A little background here:
Waffles loves to wrestle and tends to play rather rough, leaving my arms looking like I just put them through a shredder. Because of this, my mother was kind enough to buy her a scratching pad that is supposed to dull her claws. However, the scratching pad comes with a feather toy that has a bell attached. Which is, of course, the only part of the thing that she’s actually interested in.
Also, it’s important to point out that since this video was taken, she hasn’t played with any part of the scratching post since. Her favorite thing to play with is a bunch of tin foil balled up, after all.
Why do I buy this kitty toys, again?
Anyway, have a great weekend, everyone. Comics to come next week!
I was riding the train home from work trying to find inspiration around me, when I saw someone standing on the platform that wearing something that I didn’t want to see them wearing. Being the respectful and mature person that I am I thought to myself, “Eeeeeeeeeewwww, those are some gross boobies.”
And then I got to thinking about people on the internet, and their fascination with gross things. Like two girls and a cup (don’t google search it). And then “eewbies” where born.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I’ve been swamped trying to launch my first non-self published work. Reading with Pictures is an anthology that I have an 8-page story in, and it’s available at your local comic store today. And if they don’t have it, order it! It has some amazing stories from various creators throughout the industry, including Jill Thompson, Russell Lissau, John Bivens, Joe Dunn and Phil Chan, and many others. Myself among them.
If you pre-ordered your copy through kickstarter, you’re awesome. They should be arriving in the mail soon.
I’ll be at Challengers this weekend for the kick-off party, and we’ll have the world premiere of the book at Wizard World Chicago (Chicago Comic Con) at the end of the month.
Be sure to ask for the book from your local comic store. It’s going to be an awesome read!
