Podcast Interview – TGT Webcomics

 In Life

Hey gang, for those of you who missed it, I was interviewed (for the second time this year) by TGT Webcomics. This time we were talking about @$$hole!.

The conversation took a spin around the convention circuit and comics in general, but there are some pretty fun revelations in there – as well as an upcoming story point spoiler. Yes, this comic can have spoilers…try not to soil yourself.

Be sure to check out the archive if you missed the live show. This time I swear I only talked for an hour (as opposed to the first interview, where I went for 6+ hours and set the show record for longest podcast ever!).

Now, on to some other news.

2011 is upon us, and happy new year to each of you. It’s going to be a huge year in comics for me. Not necessarily just the web stuff because (drum roll please) I’m working on a lot of published work right now. Stuff that may not ever see the beautiful LED light of the internet through your monitor screen.

Right now I’m working on my next all ages story, entitled Junkyard Chase, which should be out in February. The book’s going to be 6 pages black and white, with art by Jeong Mo Yang. I’m also going to be including the script in the back, so you aspiring comic creators can see how a comic is made – with translations from the script to the page.

I’m going to do a series of blog posts about the entire process for reference on here as well, so watch out for that. It’ll promise to be an educational series of blogs – with some goofy comedy thrown in for good measure.

I’m also putting together my convention schedule for the year. Right now I’m confirmed as a guest at the following shows:

Anime Milwaukee: February 18-20
Comix Revolution Signing (Mount Prospect, IL): February 26
C2E2: March 18-20
Wizard World Chicago: August 11-14

There will no doubt be more shows before the end of the year, but so far this is all confirmed and happening.

If you’d like me to guest at a show near you, be sure to reach out to your local conventions and ask them to invite me as a guest. My contact info is on this site in the About the Author section. Plus, you can always google me.

Heck, I even had a guest spot offered to me via facebook.

In addition to Junkyard Chase, I also have several other all-ages books in the work. These should start coming out later in the year, as I start working with the artists (with whom I’m very excited to be working on these projects), and I’ll announce them as they get closer to completion.

As I said before, 2011 is going to be a huge year in comics for me. I look forward to going through it with you guys, seeing you at the shows, and chatting with you over the internets.
